Your Best Event was conceived by skilled entrepreneurs of various event-planning backgrounds. We recognized a common need to focus solely on producing flawlessly orchestrated events in the greater New York areas with an emphasis on customer service. We created a dedicated team who together own the key ingredients in creating a premier special events company as in Your Best Event​


Our team possesses an extensive list of clientele who have entrusted YBE with private, themed, fundraising and holiday events of all sizes. Each of our event agents are passionate, trained, and educated in several aspects of event planning. We emphasize communication, stress details & creativity and great organizational skills. If we adhere to this maxim, we will achieve customer satisfaction beyond expectation.

Erica Diaz

President & Lead Event Agent

Erica has undertaken multiple roles throughout her event planning career. She cultivated her skills during her college years in events and organizational leadership. With over 10 years in managerial and planning experience, she has built a vast network and compiled a very impressive portfolio. The next step in her evolutionary process was the creation of Your Best Event, Inc.


Erica graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University. Since then she as added an Event Planning Certification from the Fashion Institute of Technology to her vast repertoire. Throughout her years in event coordination she has maintained the same objective: to ensure the production and management of each (and every) project is executed in the best interest of the client. The right education, experience, and devotion combined with an overwhelming positive energy have been her recipe for success.

Jessica Medina

Event Agent / Creative Design

Jessica graduated from Stony Brook University in May of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She was introduced to the world of event planning while at Stony Brook and immediately realized this was indeed her passion. Her interest in non-profit event planning was motivated by her devotion to various organizations and programs throughout her academic career. Jessica was elected Executive Chair for a Domestic Violence Campaign which donated proceeds to the prevention & education of domestic violence and therefore acknowledging the accomplishments at the Annual Banquet.


Post graduation, Jessica worked with various establishments, companies and organizations on a diverse level of projects ranging from nightlife events to political fundraisers as well as an Ambassador’s Gala. Her strong attention to detail and great insight on creativity allows her to think outside the box allowing her to envision the grand picture, consequently producing a one of a kind event. She is very personable and pushes the envelope to ensure client needs and expectations are met.


When Jessica is not working, she enjoys spending time with the people she loves. You can always find her organizing personal social functions within her family & friends as in Sunday Funday brunches and dinner parties to name a few. Jessica also enjoys the outdoors and takes advantage of every bit of warm weather NYC has to offer. Nothing makes her happier than spending quality time with her husband and their toddler son, Julien.


Daiana Hidalgo

Event Agent / Wedding Specialist

Frequent exposure to latest trends… access to great Art museum… mingling among different cultures along the streets of NYC- these are key ingredients that drive Daiana’s passion. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in International Business at CW Post/LIU, Daiana realized her next step would be to learn the core business of fashion. Soon after, she was exposed to the event planning business and realized that all three; Business, Fashion, and Events go hand in hand in creating beautiful events catered specifically to the client’s desire.


A picturesque mind and the ability to develop an overall story reflecting the client’s needs are essential tools to successful event planning. In addition to planning weddings, Daiana has coordinated bachelorette parties, bridal showers, baby showers, banquets, and is looking forward to many more future events. All in all, having planned her own wedding, Daiana has a great understanding of creative artistry, special attention to details, and smooth event execution.


Daiana believes every client is top priority and therefore should be treated as such. Patience and an open line of communication are key to a great relationship with the customer.
